Operational and Financial Leadership

Jay Puckett brings a background in operations, finance, project management, and organizational leadership to Thryv Medical. His career began as an officer in the U.S. Air Force, where he worked with advanced satellite communication systems and supported testing aboard multiple military aircraft platforms.

Following his military service, Jay held project and financial management roles across software, automotive, banking, utilities, and manufacturing. At Thryv Medical, he applies that experience to the business and operational side of the practice, with a focus on financial management, strategic planning, systems, and sustainable growth.

Education and Community

Jay earned a BS in Engineering from the U.S. Air Force Academy, an MBA in Healthcare Management, and an MS in Finance.

His community involvement has included a decade of coaching youth and high school lacrosse in Suwanee. He is also the founder of Patriot Legacy Fund, a nonprofit organization that has awarded more than $300,000 in post-secondary scholarships to children of service-disabled military veterans.

Beyond Thryv

Outside of healthcare, Jay is an author, educator, and student of distilled spirits. He holds multiple professional certifications in spirits and wine, teaches spirits education and tasting classes, and has published books on the subject.

At Thryv, Jay works alongside his wife, Cathy, combining her clinical leadership with his operational and financial experience to build a medical practice centered on thoughtful care, strong clinical oversight, and a better long-term experience for its clients.
